what we ask

What we need from alpha testers

One webinar, real testing time, screenshots when bugs hit, suggestions we can use.

  1. One webinar with our team

About 30 minutes. We walk through GC BuildFlow together. Recorded if you can't attend live.

  2. Some time to learn it

Bring a real or pretend project. We'll show you how. Bring questions — even the basic ones.

  3. Screenshots when you hit a bug

Even tiny ones. A screenshot and a sentence is enough. That's how we fix things.

  4. Suggestions for what to build next

Community votes. We ship the winners. Top contributors earn lifetime access.

by role

What it looks like for each role

Homeowners, contractors, service providers — each gets a surface tuned to their needs.

Homeowners

The customer side

Start with a photo and an idea. Get a real estimate before any contractor sees your house — so when you do talk to one, you know what you're talking about.

Contractors

GCs and independents

Your customers arrive informed instead of starting from zero. Build estimates customers actually understand. Track receipts at tax-time-ready cleanliness.

Service providers

Plumbers, electricians, painters, suppliers

Show up where homeowners and contractors are looking. Set hours, trades, service area. Build a verified track record.

how we compare

Side-by-side with the alternatives

See how GC BuildFlow stacks up against directories, lead-gen sites, contractor tools, and the current chaos.

Angie's List is a directory. GC BuildFlow is the tool you actually use during the project.

Angie's List works as a directory + review aggregator. There's no project management, no estimate before you call, no shared workspace once work starts.

GC BuildFlow does the opposite. The estimate is the front door. Then we stay with you through the whole project — and the review at the end is verified by what the system already saw happen.

HomeAdvisor sells your project as a lead. We give you a real estimate first.

HomeAdvisor's business model is selling your project as a lead to multiple contractors. Submit a request, your phone rings. Five contractors call within an hour.

GC BuildFlow is built differently. The AI gives you a real estimate before any contractor sees your project. You walk into the conversation already knowing scope, range, and timeline.

Buildertrend is contractor-only. Customers and contractors both live in GC BuildFlow.

Buildertrend is excellent for contractors — established, mature, full-featured project management. But it's contractor-first by design. The customer portal is a bolt-on.

GC BuildFlow flips the model. The customer journey starts before any contractor is involved (with the AI estimate). Both sides are first-class.

Phone calls, texts, paper receipts. We replace the chaos with one place.

Most renovations today happen across scattered channels — texts, voicemails, paper receipts, half-remembered verbal agreements.

GC BuildFlow gathers it all in one place. When questions come up six months later, the answer is searchable. When you're ready to leave a review, the system already has the evidence.

why us

Not a directory. Not a lead farm.

No paid placement. No reselling your project. Reviews verified by what actually happened.

Most contractor sites are directories. Contractors pay to be listed. Anyone can post a review without proof.

Most lead-gen sites sell your project as a lead — five contractors call within an hour. Nobody actually knows what you need.

GC BuildFlow gives you a real estimate first. You walk into your contractor conversation already knowing scope, range, and timeline.

Every review is verified by what actually happened — photos, messages, schedules kept or missed.

Pricing

Final pricing comes after alpha.

We're not setting permanent pricing tiers until we've heard from our first 100 testers. The honest version: we don't know yet which features are worth charging for and which should be free. The alpha is how we figure that out.

Here's what we can commit to today: alpha testers get a full year of free access to every feature, including ones we add during alpha. The top 10 contributors get lifetime free access. Everyone else who joins as an alpha tester will be grandfathered into whatever pricing tier matches what they were already using when we open general availability.

After alpha, pricing tiers will roll out for homeowners, contractors, and service providers separately. We'll share the structure with alpha testers a few weeks before public launch. No surprises.

About

Built in Staten Island, by people who've run renovations.

GC BuildFlow exists because the existing tools didn't solve the actual problems. Lost receipts. Missed messages. Contractors who ghost halfway through. Reviews you can't trust. A homeowner running a renovation today is operating without a real system, and the contractor on the other end is doing the same.

We've spent the last year building something different — an app where the customer and the contractor work in the same place, where the AI can give you a real estimate before any contractor sees your house, and where the reviews at the end are verified by what the system already saw happen.

We're starting with our neighbors. Our first 100 alpha testers are coming from Staten Island — homeowners, contractors, and service providers who'll help us get it right before we bring this to other neighborhoods. If that sounds like something you want to be part of, we'd love to have you.
